This project is probably one of my first big projects at RIA Novosti and we worked together with my colleagues and to do the whole set of printed materials from invitations to billboards.
This exhibition was the last part of a photo contest organised by our client. The contest was called “Finalists. Russian sport in modern photography” and our client wanted everything to look fancy. Knowing that, we decided not to waste time on trifles and selected a bronze colour as our main emphasis in design. Combination of white and bronze is not vulgar but brings the posh flavour.
The main object that we created was an album, but it was not just a book. The photographs of the winners were printed on separate cards, so that these cards could have been signed by the authors. The album contained other photographs which were not awarded, but the jury found them interesting as well. Cards were covered by a transparent paper and packed togehter with the album.
We worked on this project together with my colleague Katerina Berezina. The concept of the packaging was one of her design decisions.
